Stories From the Road (Bike & Build)
For those who followed along, did you wonder what happened to me after Wheeler, Texas? Well I’m happy to say that I did complete my cross country bike trip with Bike & Build and want to share the rest of the amazing adventure with you. Instead of spending hours typing the stories out in my blog, I decided in Texas to spend the time making even better memories that I could come back and share with everyone. I know there were many people following my trip that felt let down when I stopped writing, but I’m going to make it up to you. On October 23rd at 3pm I’m going to give a presentation about the trip to share some pictures, videos, and amazing stories from the 3800 mile journey. Please join me at the Somers Public Library to hear what happens when you spend 12 hours a day on a bicycle with 32 of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. I look forward to seeing you there.
Foolproof Method to Install Windows 7 (or any operating system) on a Netbook
You would think with the popularity of netbooks these days, it would be easier to find a tutorial about how to install and new operating system on them. After a while scouring Google I found bits and pieces everywhere, but none that had idiot proof instructions. I'm fairly tech savvy, but even I was getting confused until I found the program to solve all my problems.
Miles…hills…pain…SUCCESS
The Ashford Century was a ride I will not soon forget. We started out at 7:30 AM in a brisk 45 degrees on the all day adventure. I knew nothing about the route going into the ride other than it was 100 miles and a chance to be on my bicycle. Only a half mile into the ride we hit our first hill on cold legs. I made the mistake of trying to keep up with the racers right away and nearly killed myself 5 minutes in. After two miles of pain and suffering I decided to spare my legs and go at my own pace for the remainder of the ride. This was a great decision because I was informed a couple minutes later that the route had 8000 feet of climbing.
